New antibiotic combo tested in kids with severe infections

Summary
This study tests a new IV antibiotic (aztreonam-avibactam) in hospitalized children aged 9 months to 18 years with serious gram-negative bacterial infections. The goal is to see how the drug moves through the body, if it is safe, and how well it works compared to the best available therapy. About 48 children will take part, and the study lasts up to 50 days.
