First seen Jun 25, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This early-stage trial tests a drug called MY006, given as a shot under the skin, to see if it can prevent severe allergic reactions from accidental peanut intake. The study involves 48 healthy volunteers and people with peanut allergies, who will receive either the drug or a placebo. Researchers will monitor safety, side effects, and how the body responds, including a food challenge with peanuts.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
Active substance
MY006 (a drug given by injection under the skin)
What this could lead to
If it works, this could lead to a treatment that prevents severe allergic reactions from accidental peanut exposure, reducing the risk of life-threatening emergencies.
What could go wrong
This is a very early Phase 1 trial with only 48 participants, so safety and effectiveness are not yet proven. The treatment may not work or could cause side effects like injection-site reactions.
