NCT ID NCT04222491

First seen Apr 28, 2026 · Last updated Jun 02, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a treatment called oral immunotherapy (OIT) can help people with peanut allergy safely eat small amounts of peanut protein without having an allergic reaction. About 500 people aged 6 months to 65 years will gradually increase their peanut intake under medical supervision. The goal is to see if they can tolerate a maintenance dose of 300 mg peanut protein within two years, and whether their quality of life improves.
