Could a 'Faulty' gene hold the key to fighting diabetes?
NCT ID NCT06533007
Summary
This study aims to understand how a specific gene, PDE3B, affects how the body processes fats and sugars. Researchers will compare 40 people who have a version of this gene that may reduce its function to people with the typical version. By taking blood and small fat tissue samples, they hope to learn if this gene could be a future target for preventing or treating conditions like type 2 diabetes and heart disease.
