New approach asks dementia patients: 'What matters most to You?'
NCT ID NCT06001775
Summary
This study tested whether having a special conversation about personal care priorities could help people with mild memory loss or dementia. 178 patients received information before a clinic visit and could talk with a trained helper about what matters most to them. Researchers then checked health records to see if this led to changes, like more days spent at home or fewer medications.
