Hospital navigator program aims to close gaps in opioid treatment access

Summary
This study looks at whether a patient navigation program can help more people with opioid use disorder start treatment after being in the hospital. The program, called NavSTAR, was tested in 4 Philadelphia hospitals with 32 patients. The goal is to learn how to make this program work across a whole health system and reduce racial differences in treatment access.
