First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 17 times

Summary

This study tested whether adding a nerve-stimulating technique (ultrasound-guided percutaneous neuromodulation) to standard treatments (electrolysis and eccentric exercises) helps athletes with jumper's knee. 26 adults aged 18-50 who played sports at least 3 times a week and had knee pain for at least 2 weeks took part. The goal was to see if the combination reduced pain and improved function better than standard care alone.
