First seen Nov 05, 2025 · Last updated May 13, 2026 · Updated 24 times
Summary
This study tests a less invasive way to replace a failing mitral heart valve without open-heart surgery. About 53 people with a previously implanted surgical valve that is now leaking or narrowed will receive a new valve placed inside the old one. The goal is to see if this procedure is safe and helps the heart pump better, reducing symptoms like shortness of breath.
