Doctors track 5-Year results of sound wave brain treatment for Parkinson's

NCT ID NCT05539196

Summary

This study is a long-term registry tracking 60 people with advanced Parkinson's disease who have already received a specific, approved brain procedure. The procedure uses focused ultrasound to create a small lesion in a part of the brain to help control severe movement problems that don't respond well to medication. Researchers will follow participants for five years to monitor how well the treatment works over time, its safety, and its impact on daily life.
