First seen Feb 02, 2026 · Last updated Jun 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether a 10-session parenting program called Attachment and Biobehavioral Catch-up (ABC) can help lower stress in children aged 2 to 3.5 years who have experienced challenges like low income. About 150 parent-child pairs will be randomly assigned to get the program right away or wait about 4 months. Researchers will measure stress through saliva, cheek swabs, and hair samples, and also check parenting skills and child well-being.
