First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests whether dipping the hand and forearm in warm paraffin wax for 20 minutes can immediately reduce muscle stiffness and pain in people with carpal tunnel syndrome. Twenty-four adults with the condition will be randomly assigned to either the wax treatment or rest. Researchers will measure stiffness with a device and ask about pain levels before and after the session.
