Lymph node surgery may boost cervical cancer treatment

Summary
This study looks at whether surgically removing para-aortic lymph nodes before standard chemoradiation can improve disease-free survival in people with stage IIIC1 cervical cancer. About 510 participants will be randomly assigned to either standard treatment or surgery plus tailored chemoradiation. The goal is to see if the extra surgery helps prevent the cancer from coming back.
