Cyst fluid clues could sniff out pancreatic cancer sooner

NCT ID NCT03536793

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks for early signs of pancreatic cancer in fluid from pancreatic cysts. Researchers will measure specific molecules in the fluid to see if they can accurately tell which cysts are cancerous. The goal is to develop a less invasive test than current methods, helping catch cancer earlier when treatment is more effective. About 180 adults with pancreatic cysts or known pancreatic cancer will take part.
