Scientists hunt for genetic clues to beat pancreatic cancer

NCT ID NCT02869802

Summary

This study aims to understand advanced pancreatic cancer better by analyzing the genetic makeup of patients' tumors. Researchers will collect tumor samples and blood from about 190 patients starting chemotherapy to look for patterns in their genes. The goal is to see if these genetic patterns can help predict which treatments might be most effective for future patients, and to learn how quickly this genetic information can be provided to doctors.
