First seen Dec 16, 2025 · Last updated May 22, 2026 · Updated 27 times
Summary
This study tested whether giving palliative radiotherapy to 2-5 metastatic sites before starting first-line immunotherapy and chemotherapy can improve outcomes for people with advanced non-small cell lung cancer. 50 participants with PD-L1 below 50% received this combined approach. The main goal was to see if it delays cancer progression compared to a historical group that only received systemic therapy.
