Summary

This study tested a drug called conestat alfa in 141 people getting a new heart valve (TAVI) for severe aortic stenosis. The goal was to see if it could prevent small strokes and kidney damage that sometimes happen after the procedure. Participants received either the drug or a placebo before their valve replacement, and brain scans were used to check for injury.
