New combo tackles cancer pain and tumors at once
NCT ID NCT07326137
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study is for people with advanced bile duct or pancreatic cancer who have significant pain. Researchers want to see if adding a nerve-blocking pain treatment (celiac plexus block) to standard first-line cancer therapy helps control pain and shrink tumors better than standard therapy alone. About 103 participants will receive the pain block and then start their cancer drugs, and they will be followed for up to 2 years to track pain levels, tumor response, and side effects.
