First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Jun 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study was designed to compare two methods of pain control after a mastectomy (breast removal surgery): a nerve block called serratus anterior plane block versus local anesthetic injected by the surgeon. The goal was to see which approach reduces the need for strong painkillers (opioids) and improves arm movement and comfort. The study was withdrawn before enrolling any participants, so no results are available.
