New Long-Lasting pain shot tested for lung surgery recovery

NCT ID NCT07134660

Summary

This study is testing whether a new, long-acting numbing medicine provides better pain relief after lung surgery than the standard version. Researchers will compare pain levels and opioid use in 210 patients who receive either the new extended-release medicine, the standard medicine, or no nerve block. The goal is to see if the new formula controls pain better for up to three days after surgery.
