New pain block for lung surgery tested against standard methods
NCT ID NCT07441161
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looked at 113 adults who had major lung surgery with a video camera. It compared a newer pain-blocking method (erector spinae plane block) with two older methods (spinal morphine and nerve blocks). The goal was to see which one worked best for pain and reduced the need for extra morphine. Results could help improve recovery after surgery.
