New study aims to ease pain after kidney stone removal

Summary

This study compares two types of nerve blocks to see which provides better pain relief after surgery for large kidney stones. About 90 adults will be randomly assigned to receive one of the blocks or standard anesthesia alone. Pain levels and medication needs will be tracked for 24 hours after surgery.
