First seen Jan 06, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested whether a single dose of intravenous methadone works as well as spinal morphine for pain relief after a scheduled C-section. Thirty women participated, and researchers tracked how much extra pain medicine they needed in the first two days after delivery. The goal was to find a better way to manage pain with fewer side effects.
