Pain pump or nerve block: which works better for Same-Day surgery recovery?
NCT ID NCT07349810
First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 18 times
Summary
This study looks at two methods to control pain after outpatient orthopedic surgeries like ACL repair or rotator cuff surgery. One group gets a continuous pain pump that delivers numbing medicine for days, while the other gets a single nerve block before surgery. Researchers will track pain scores and how much pain medication patients need over two weeks to see which approach works better.
