First seen Jan 26, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study tests a new way to give pain medicine after surgery. It compares a standard pump that gives a steady dose of opioids to a smart pump that adjusts the dose based on the patient's pain level. The goal is to see if the smart pump can lower the total amount of opioids needed, improve pain control, and reduce side effects. The study will include 1170 adults having various types of surgery.
