New hope for breast cancer survivors: Brain-Based pain relief without drugs?
NCT ID NCT04531917
First seen Mar 23, 2026 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 3 times
Summary
This study tests a new approach for breast cancer survivors who have long-term pain. Instead of just giving information, the program combines pain neuroscience education (teaching how the brain processes pain) with a gradual return to activity. About 122 survivors will be randomly assigned to either this program or usual care (a leaflet). The goal is to see if the program reduces pain intensity and improves quality of life over three months.
