First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 11, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether injecting a long-lasting anesthetic called EXPAREL into the surgical wound can improve pain control and swallowing function in people with oropharyngeal cancer undergoing robotic throat surgery. About 80 adults will take part, and half will receive the injection. The goal is to see if this approach reduces pain and the need for opioids after surgery.
