First seen Jan 04, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study looked at 94 women having major abdominal surgery for gynecologic cancers to see which pain-relieving nerve block combination works best. Researchers compared a standard block (TAP) alone versus TAP combined with either a quadratus lumborum block or a rectus sheath block. The goal was to find which approach reduces pain and the need for morphine after surgery.
