First seen Nov 18, 2025 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 19 times
Summary
This study tests whether adding a second drug (dexmedetomidine) to the standard nerve block medication (dexamethasone) can make pain relief last longer after shoulder, foot, or ankle surgery. About 100 adults will receive either the combo or the standard block, then report their pain, side effects, and painkiller use for a week. The goal is to reduce opioid use and improve recovery.
