New nerve block could slash pain after neck surgery
NCT ID NCT07238621
First seen Nov 20, 2025 · Last updated Jun 14, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study looks at whether a special nerve block (serratus posterior superior intercostal plane block) can reduce pain and the need for painkillers after cervical disc herniation surgery. About 40 adults having this neck surgery will be divided into groups to compare the nerve block with another type of block and with standard care. The goal is to see which approach provides better pain control and fewer side effects.
