New nerve blocks battle for best pain relief in Kids' surgery
NCT ID NCT06452225
Summary
This study compared two different nerve-block techniques to see which one better controls pain after open kidney removal surgery in children. Doctors tested an ultrasound-guided TAP block against a newer EOIP block in 40 young patients. The main goal was to see which method provided longer-lasting pain relief before the child needed additional pain medication.
