New pain block may cut opioid use after lung surgery
NCT ID NCT07250373
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests two types of nerve blocks to control pain after lung surgery. About 28 adults having lung surgery will get either a Serratus Posterior Superior Intercostal Plane block or an Intercostal Nerve block. The goal is to see which block reduces pain, lowers the need for strong painkillers, and helps patients breathe better after surgery.
