First seen Nov 19, 2025 · Last updated Apr 28, 2026 · Updated 24 times

Summary

This study tested two different ways to manage pain in children after hernia surgery: one using ultrasound guidance to block nerves in the belly wall, and the other a standard block near the tailbone. Fifty children aged 1 to 7 took part. The goal was to see which method delays the need for extra pain medicine and reduces overall painkiller use.
