NCT ID NCT07552701

First seen Jun 24, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026 · Updated 1 time

Summary

This study compares two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks to control pain after laparoscopic gallbladder removal. Seventy adults will receive either a modified thoracoabdominal nerve block or a recto-intercostal fascial plane block. The goal is to see which block reduces the need for opioid painkillers and improves recovery.

What this could lead to
If one block works better, it could offer a safer, opioid-sparing pain relief option for gallbladder surgery patients.
