First seen Jan 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 15 times

Summary

This study compares two ultrasound-guided nerve blocks—transversalis fascia plane block and erector spinae plane block—for pain relief after cesarean section. Sixty women having a planned C-section will receive one of the two blocks, and researchers will measure pain scores and how much opioid pain medicine they need. The goal is to find which block provides better pain control, helping mothers recover more comfortably and reduce opioid use.
