Body scans seek clues to stop artery blockages
NCT ID NCT07472049
Summary
This study aims to better understand the processes that cause artery blockages in people with leg pain from poor circulation. Researchers will perform full-body scans on 100 participants to see how inflammation and calcification in leg arteries relate to plaque in other arteries, like those near the heart. The goal is to gather information that could lead to new treatments to prevent the disease from worsening and reduce the risk of heart attacks and strokes.
