First seen Apr 14, 2026 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 4 times

Summary

This study tested whether delivering the drug paclitaxel directly to the leg artery during a standard balloon procedure can help keep the artery from narrowing again. 27 adults with blocked leg arteries (peripheral artery disease) took part. The goal was to see if this approach improves long-term blood flow and reduces the need for repeat procedures.
