First seen Jan 10, 2026 · Last updated Apr 29, 2026 · Updated 14 times

Summary

This study tested a special pacifier that plays lullabies when a baby sucks on it. The goal was to see if it helps premature infants with chronic lung disease or breathing problems learn to eat by mouth faster. The study included 33 babies born before 33 weeks. One group used the lullaby pacifier, the other did not. The study was ended early, so results are limited.
