Could ozone gas ease the agony of chemo pain?

NCT ID NCT04299893

Summary

This study is testing if adding ozone therapy to standard care can reduce pain and improve quality of life for cancer patients suffering from nerve damage caused by chemotherapy. It will involve 42 adults who have had persistent, moderate-to-severe nerve pain for at least three months after finishing chemo. Half will receive real ozone gas administered rectally over 16 weeks, while the other half receives a placebo, to see which group experiences better pain relief and lower healthcare costs.
