New study tests better oxygenation for obese patients during surgery

NCT ID NCT06914401

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looked at 124 obese adults to see if combining two oxygen techniques (high-flow nasal oxygen and non-invasive ventilation) works better than non-invasive ventilation alone during anesthesia. The goal was to keep oxygen levels safe while inserting a breathing tube. Results will help doctors choose the best method to reduce complications.
