Can a simple facemask oxygen treatment prevent brain damage after a bleed?

NCT ID NCT07343232

First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026

Summary

This study looks at whether giving extra oxygen through a facemask can help people who have had a brain aneurysm bleed and are breathing too fast, causing low carbon dioxide levels. About 80 adults with this condition will receive the oxygen treatment to see if it reduces the risk of delayed brain injury and improves recovery. The goal is to find a safe, simple way to prevent long-term disability.
