Scientists probe hidden stress in two diabetes types

NCT ID NCT07434154

First seen Feb 28, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 12 times

Summary

This study looks at oxidative stress—a kind of cellular wear and tear—in people with type 1 diabetes or LADA (a slow-progressing form of autoimmune diabetes). Researchers will collect blood samples from 150 adults to measure stress markers and see how they relate to blood sugar control. The goal is to better understand the differences between these two conditions, not to test a new treatment.
