Ovarian cancer surgery showdown: tumor removal vs. bowel resection
NCT ID NCT07616310
First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study looks at two different surgeries for advanced ovarian cancer that has spread to the bowel. One method removes only the tumor from the bowel, while the other removes a piece of the bowel along with the tumor. The goal is to see which approach helps patients live longer without the cancer coming back, and which has fewer side effects. About 300 women aged 18-70 with advanced ovarian cancer will take part.
