First seen Jan 07, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 21 times

Summary

This study tested a new, non-invasive method called Raman spectroscopy to detect ovarian cancer. Researchers analyzed blood and tissue samples from 160 women with symptoms or undergoing treatment. The goal was to see if this light-based technique can identify cancer earlier and distinguish it from non-cancerous tissue, which could improve diagnosis and monitoring.
