First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated Jun 07, 2026 · Updated 35 times

Summary

This study is testing whether a combination of DNA from a uterine wash and proteins from a blood sample can accurately detect ovarian cancer. Researchers will collect these samples from 250 women before surgery for suspected ovarian cancer or as a preventive measure. The goal is to develop a test that clearly distinguishes cancer from benign conditions, potentially enabling earlier diagnosis and reducing deaths.
