Office-Based vascular procedures: a safe alternative to hospitals?
NCT ID NCT04054440
First seen Apr 05, 2026 · Last updated May 17, 2026 · Updated 8 times
Summary
This study looked at 26,000 adults who had outpatient vascular procedures (like treating blocked arteries or varicose veins) in a doctor's office instead of a hospital. The goal was to see how often people went home versus needing hospital care, and to track any complications within 24 hours. The results will help design future studies comparing office-based and hospital-based procedures.
