New dental attachment system aims to improve comfort and reduce complications for Full-Arch dentures
NCT ID NCT07701200
First seen Jul 14, 2026 · Last updated Jul 15, 2026 · Updated 1 time
Summary
This study compares two types of dental implant attachments used in full-arch fixed dentures (All-on-4) for people with no teeth in the lower jaw. The OT-Bridge system is tested against standard multiunit abutments to see which leads to higher patient satisfaction and fewer prosthetic problems like screw loosening or fractures. Twenty patients will be followed for 12 months after receiving their dentures. The goal is to help dentists choose the best system for long-lasting, comfortable results.
What this could mean
Our plain-language read of the trial. This is informational only — not medical advice or a prediction.
- Active substance
- OT-Bridge system (a prosthetic attachment system for implant-supported fixed full-arch prostheses) compared with multiunit abutments (prosthetic components placed on dental implants to correct angulation and provide a stable platform for screw-retained restorations)
- What this could lead to
- If the OT-Bridge system proves better, it could offer a more stable and comfortable option for people needing full-arch fixed dentures, reducing complications like screw loosening or breakage.
- What could go wrong
- This is a small, early-stage study with only 20 patients, so results may not apply to everyone. Differences between the two systems might be small or not clinically meaningful.
