Summary

This completed study gave 580 Native American adults and children in Osage Nation weekly boxes of fresh fruits and vegetables along with healthy recipes and cooking classes. The goal was to see if this program could improve diet, lower blood pressure, and reduce health risks like obesity and food insecurity. Researchers measured changes in eating habits, blood pressure, cholesterol, and other health markers over 16 weeks.

What could go wrong
This is a completed study, but results may not apply to other populations or settings. The program relies on self-reported diet and may not show lasting health changes.
