First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 18, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study tests whether giving methadone as a pill before heart surgery works better than giving it through an IV during surgery to control pain afterward. About 100 adults having planned heart surgery will take part. Researchers will measure how much additional pain medicine patients need in the first three days after surgery.
