Party drug tested to calm cancer anxiety

NCT ID NCT05086250

Summary

This small early study is testing whether oral ketamine (a medication sometimes used for depression) can help reduce anxiety in people with pancreatic cancer. Twenty participants will try both ketamine and a placebo pill in random order to see if it's safe and tolerable. The main goal is to see if this type of study is practical to run, while also checking if ketamine affects anxiety, mood, pain, and sleep.
