First seen Jun 27, 2026 · Last updated Jun 27, 2026
Summary
This study tests a program called OPTIONS that helps older adults recover after breaking a hip or leg. The program provides information on exercise, healthy eating, and bone-strengthening medications to patients in nursing homes and after they go home. Researchers will include about 1,500 people aged 65 and older across 32 nursing homes. The goal is to see if the program improves physical function and quality of life compared to standard care.
